Your privacy matters: PixoMap is built for local-first use and user-controlled sharing.

Transparency: We explain what data is processed, for what purpose, and where it is processed.

Control: You choose what to share, when to share it, and with whom.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to PixoMap's website at pixomap.app and the PixoMap iOS app, unless a specific flow states otherwise.

2. Data Categories We Process

App

Precise location (with your iOS permission) for map and discovery functionality.
Photo library access (with your iOS permission) for story/export creation.
User-created map content (titles, notes, route order, export metadata).

Website

Standard request metadata processed by hosting/CDN providers (for example IP, timestamp, and requested path).
Communications you send us (for example email inquiries).

3. Purposes of Processing

Provide map, route, and trip creation functionality.
Enable user-requested sharing/exports.
Respond to support and legal inquiries.
Process subscriptions through Apple In-App Purchase.
Maintain and secure website operations.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal data.
When you share content, recipients can view what you chose to share.
Apple handles subscription billing data under Apple's policies.
Third-party service providers may process limited request/query data needed to return results (for example mapping/public place data providers).

5. Retention

App content is designed to remain on your device unless you explicitly share/export it.
Support/legal communications are retained as needed to respond and meet legal obligations.
Infrastructure logs are retained according to operational and security needs.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure.

7. Children's Privacy

PixoMap is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through PixoMap-operated systems.

9. Website-Specific Privacy Notes

Creator application is currently an email-intake flow. We do not currently operate a hosted creator form backend at /creator-application.
We currently do not use behavioral advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies on the website.
If analytics or additional tracking technologies are introduced, this policy will be updated before rollout.

10. App-Specific Privacy Notes

PixoMap does not store your personal maps, photos, or profile data on PixoMap-operated app backends.
Permissions are managed through iOS settings and can be revoked by you at any time.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date indicates the current version.
